The legal currency of The Bahamas is the Bahamian dollar
(B$1), which is equivalent in value to the US Dollar. Even
though the Bahamian mint and circulate their own legal tender,
both US and Bahamian dollars are accepted interchangeably throughout the islands. Internationally
recognised traveller’s cheques in dollar denominations
may be cashed almost anywhere. Major credit cards are accepted
throughout the island. |
