The
Bahamas follows the British system of driving on the left-hand
side of the road. As most cars are generally imported from the
US, they have the steering wheel on the left. The
speed limit is 25 mph/40 kmh in downtown and congested areas;
everywhere else is 45 mph/75 kmh. Visitors or persons staying but not working in The Bahamas may drive on their foreign license for up to three months.
