The
Bahamas operates on Eastern Time, which is five hours behind
Greenwich Mean Time. This puts the archipelago in the same time-zone
as the major commercial centres of the eastern US and Canada,
such as Miami, Washington, DC, New York, Toronto, and Montreal.
When
it is noon in the Bahamas, it is 5 PM in London and 4 AM the
next day in Sydney. The Bahama Islands are
on daylight savings time from the first Sunday in April to the
last Sunday in October.
